Da Vinci Catapult

This wooden model is based on Leonardo Da Vinci's sketches for a unique kind of catapult. Featured in his Codex Atlanticus from about 1480, the design uses a ratcheting winch that bends two beams to create tension for the launching arm. 

This is a very fun kit to assemble, suitable for ages 9 and up (some adult help may be required).
